End Of Olympics

So the Olympics 2012, held in London is finally over. Last night I stayed up late to watch the closing ceremony Live on Youtube and within 24 hours I have already watched quite a lot of video's related to the closing ceremony. And to be honest I feel like I have nothing left to do with my life right now, thought I have a bundle of assignments to to be completed yet. But since I'm on semester break I bet I'm gonna procrastinate the hell out on every thing.

So yeah, where was I?? So right now I feel like I have nothing left to do. This happens to me every time >.<  Like that time when I finished watching all the 7 seasons of How I met your mother in record time. And When I completed reading all the books in the series Vampire Academy, Hunger games and Percy Jackson. But the most horrid of them all is when I watched the last movie in the Harry Potter series. Just thinking about that moment of sheer horror and realization makes me wanna bury myself under a pile of comforters.

Absolutely adored this portrait of John Lennon and even the Pyramid was awesome

Keeping that aside, lets look at BEST MOMENTS OF OLYMPICS for me. First beginning with the sole reason why I watched Olympics in the first place. Tom Daley. OK, I really am not a sporty person but I don't really watch sports if u subtract Soccer. But recently I came across an article about Tom while ago surfing on the net and I have been a fan ever since. And this year, I really made it a top priority on my 'to do list' to watch Tom dive. And MY GOD, it was awesome. I really loved his synchronized dive as well as the individual one. And his interview about his dad, after the event made me quite emotional. Although, the fact that he missed the title makes me wee bit sad.

I Laughed my ass off when his fellas threw him in the pool after he won
Tom showing off his medal + his pearly white teeth

Ooooo.. Emmmm... Jeeeee. * Drooling *

And then comes the second highlight. ONE DIRECTION!!! The guys actually performed their hit single What I makes you Beautiful. But I really missed harry singing his solo part in the song. But on and all I loved it, like always.

And today, while watching the news the fact that TVM didn't include One direction's name amongst the performers of the night made me very very offended. I mean how could they tell the names of some weird guys covered in black costumes surrounded by orange beaks * God knows what* and not include One direction. I guess they really one sided, not only in the field of political reports.

Him & Me

Chapter 1 ~ His distracting lower half

I peeped at his butt again. Don’t get me wrong, but when you see the most handsome guy in the school crouching down in front of you showing off his butt, you can’t miss it right. For the past few minutes I have been shamelessly gazing at Nolan Owens butt while he plugged out the wires of the microphone and speakers. His torn denim jeans were half way down his butt showing off his polka dotted boxers. And the whole scene was quite charming.

I quickly twirled my eyes, when I realized that his butt was no longer visible. Guilt ridden for my rather bold action previously, I gazed at his face. It stunned me to find him smiling at me, showing off his perfectly white teeth. May be he’s used to girls starring at his butt. And I was just another teenage girl, going gaga over his striking personality. His ginger tinted hair was casually combed to the left side of his face, virtually covering half his eye. The sleeves of his cotton white shirt were folded till his elbows showing the manly structure of his arms. And his lower half…was a bit distracting. I wouldn’t be wrong to say that there is always something about a guy with a microphone that makes you weak in the knees.

About a minute ago the hall was crammed with students ranging from the nerds who spend most of their time in the library to the studs who rarely get out of the canteen. It was hardly believable, that all these people even turned up for such an event. It’s just like having the lions join a cause to promote veganism.

But here we aren’t talking about a jungle. We are talking about Harrington high school, the world’s largest black market for cigarettes. I know it’s stupid to call it a black market, but what else can you call the trade of cigarettes. That too in a private school like Harrington high where smoking is illegal.
But being a member of the social cause “smoking sucks” was the latest trend or should I say obsession here in Harrington. And the trend setter was none other than the founder and student body head Nolan Owen. Had anyone else been in his place, he would have been killed by any of the cold blooded murderer.

“Hey there…it’s been quite a while you are standing there. What’s up?” Nolan asked as he walked towards me.

“Um...hey. I am from the radio… I just wanted to ask you if you are interested to do an interview for my Saturday show?” I mumbled.

“ Saturday? Which show are you talking about?” he asked again, this time standing right in front of me.

I felt my knees go wobbly like jell-o. Just feel confidant and speak up. “The power puffs of HHS” I spoke.

“Oh...that’s one of my favorites...well, I would love if bubble could do the interview for me…all three of them are awesome. But there’s always something about bubbles...” he said sheepishly.

Oh my goodness. Did Nolan Owen just say that he liked the show? And more over bubbles was his favorite. I would hate it if it’s a dream.

But before I could think of anything so say he spoke again. “Well...who are you amongst the three?”

“Bubbles….” I said giggling nervously.

“Ha-haa...I guess I would be honored to be on the show” he said instantly.

Now this is definitely a dream….someone please wake me up. I know ‘the power puffs of HHS’ was a popular show but when you hear Nolan saying that he loves it, it just sounds insane. I never knew we were so good. Not until now.

“I gotta go now....see you on Saturday” Nolan said as he walked past with an adorable grin on his face.

“Bye” I mumbled under my breath. Still bemused with his confession of the love for the show.

“Bubbles…..what time do I have to be present there?” he asked taking an abort turn so that he was facing me now.

“11 would be okay…the show starts at 11:30…and please call me Kiara” I replied blushing.

“Ok ...bubb...I mean Kiara” he said as he made his way out of the hall.

Though I usually loved being called bubbles,it felt odd when Nolan called me that. And for the first time I regretted using pen name rather than my own on the radio. At least then he would have known my real name. It felt silly being addressed as Bubbles. Neither do I have blond hair nor do I wear only blue color dresses. And mostly I am not a Power puff girl.

Ps. This was a story I wrote a long while back on wattpad. Thought it would be a great idea to share it here. XoXo :)

I DARED TO GIVE UP

It was the time I thought I failed
The time I was finally ready to give up on my dreams
Dreams, which no one else would have the courage to imagine
Nor would anyone ever have the wits to envision

It was the time when I was virtually at the end of my rope
And was barely a second away from leaving the burden of my fabled dreams
Dreams, which exceeded the limits of absurdity
Frantically meaning that they were beyond insanity

It was the time I was ultimately ready to be tagged as a quitter
Giving up on my very own dreams which I grew up on
Dreams, which were unerringly drama free
And were bounded merely by means of wholesome creativity

It was the time I was willing to let go of my childishness
By means of losing the hold on the leash which connected me with my dreams
Dreams, which I happily dreamt
Throughout the day and at night when I peacefully slept

But one thing I understood was that it was high time
To let go of the beautiful dreams
Dreams, which would never have a spot in the alien world
Where sooner or later I have to step in
With more sensible thoughts
Emancipated from any reckless notions

So here I stand
Eventually struggling to abandon my dreams
Dreams, which one day will surely come true
As I am leaving them for the time being
Till that remarkable day comes
Where I don’t have to worry even if the whole humanity was judging me
And that one day I will dare to dream big again
Like I use to do now
And swollen with pride I would hold my head high in the air
And say  ‘I dared to give up’

MY WEEK IN SHORT

This week I spent loads of time with my girl friends, which for a change was pretty amazing.
I had classes on Saturday, which I hated by the way! But I had heaps of fun caking a classmate, who happened to be the birthday boy that day. Actually we were supposed to have a tea party that day after English class but we substituted it with cupcakes. And our English teacher is such a sport that she helped us with the arrangement by taking extra long time to recap the day’s lesson, and held the class in; which is really a difficult thing to do plus rather annoying if you ask me personally.

Peace to the heart with a pink balloon

On Sunday After computer lecture, I went to ‘Petays’ with three of my sweeties. It’s just around the corner and I must mention that their milkshakes are yumm!! I also fulfilled a bucket list wish on that day. # Tie a secret to a balloon and let it go.

On Monday I had a confrontation with someone whom I like to address as ‘Asshole’, which happens to be a wish on my bucket list as well. # Confront Asshole. It was the very first confrontation I had as such, and it went on not too bad. Probably because the person I was confronting ran away in the middle. And apparently for the first time in my whole life, I called someone an ‘Asshole’ in their face. I’m not guilty and neither do I feel bad about it. Some people are just lucky that I am not  a violent junkie.

Shari’ah class was cancelled on Tuesday which was a great mood lifter. You see, I was feeling rather dull that day. But the day ended on a rather good note.

Wednesday was uneventful. Ptttff. Who am I kidding? I had classes in the Afternoon which lasted till 10 pm. To top that, the previous night I stayed up late chatting on Face book and had to wake up super early morning to complete my Law tutorial. On and all, I was tired by the time I reached home.

MNU ~ Central Admin campus area
Thursday was…. Sheesh!  It was dull, boring, uneventful and rather annoying. I got my Arabic paper back. Not an excellent score, but a not a bad one either. And Nerdy self in me, is right now nagging me to study a little more. But I got ‘boredom’ cooties on me and I can’t think of doing anything.

So, to end it up the week started on a good note and ended pretty badly.

YAAAAAAAY!!!! TO ANOTHER 18th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

Years go by
With a blink of an eye
Making you old, much old
Simply by adding another horde of days to your life
And may be, that’s the reason why you take it for granted in your rush
Almost forgetting the significance of such a day, that only comes once a year

But remember, it’s different this year
The worth and the weight much more
As it’s only once when your turn eighteen
Finally your ultimate pass to the adulthood

So think about the blessings you have
Consider the people who love you, and who care,
And others who have enriched your life by just being there
Think about the memories that the passing years can never mar,
Experiences great and small, that made you who you are

As this is the beginning of a new life
And maybe, just a quick reminder that you’re getting old

This is what I like to call a job well done !
Yaaaaahh !!!! Had a birthday celebration tonight at MNU after our English class and more fun after Arabic. Awesome time smashing cakes on peoples faces. I managed to tackle three, including the birthday boy. Hurrrrray to me! And I shall end this post with a big birthday greeting. So yeah! "HAPPY BORN DAY SUEE". Keep smiling :D

I HATE SUCH MOMENTS IN LIFE

Okay. My life had been quite dull and uneventful in the past few days. Classes, Exams, Assignments same basic routine every day. In short my life right now is ‘boring’ or what we all call it ‘vai’ at its peak. And you all know that sometimes at times like these, some really amazing things do happen. And last Tuesday, my life finally decided to use some pixie dust and make my day a little magical. Okay, I’m probably over exaggerating this a little too much. But hey, it’s worth it if you know how to appreciate Art.

Before beginning with the story, if at all you are thinking that being an Art fan is not cool simply back off. *Ha... I should probably see your face right now* No offense. But appreciating Art is a good thing and I’m a proud Art fan. To tell you the truth, I was once amongst the people who find Art confusing and boring. Nevertheless, I had this bud of mine who is an epic Art fan. And thanks to him that now I know how to appreciate the true beauty of Art. Not that I’m like those people who go to galleries critiquing the painting and trying to find the true depth of the colors and what so ever. I simply enjoy what I see. If it’s the colors, design, shapes; then be it.

So last Tuesday, I went to Chandelier book shop in Maafannu with a couple of my classmates. We were working on a poster for English class due Thursday. So we were there, buying everything we needed from Mount boards, sketch pens, Glitter glue etc. Aside from choosing a Marker that would be visible on black chart paper, we had everything under our radar. And as we stood there, being the hefty teenagers we are you would suppose that we wouldn’t be civil enough to keep our voices low. You are right! We were kinda talking a little bit louder than we normally do. And out of the blue, a person *see, I’m being polite ppl!* tells us to use correcting fluid and then use a highlighter on the upper layer. At first we didn’t care much and none of us even believed that it would work. You see! We don’t work much with sketch pens or colors. And specifically I don’t even remember even trying to use colors and stuff after 7th grade. And I don’t normally go around listening to sales girls/guys since they can be quite manipulative.

So not even double looking at the person we again got engaged in our little chat. Aren’t we douche bags? I know, I know >.< Then I just went to check out the note books there for like two seconds and when I returned. Bamm! You wouldn’t believe who we allegedly declared a sales guy turned out to be. It was ‘Kurahaa Rappe’. You must have heard of him. I mentioned about my bud earlier right? He is like a massive fan of Rappe and I too am sorta, kinda fan. And now you could imagine how I might have felt right then. Yes. Total airhead. Had I even looked at him once, I would have known who it was. Gahh!!

And then, my day was ruined. And my classmates kept laughing at me because I was sulking all the way back home. But one good thing that happened in the middle of all these is that he told us to call him if at all we needed any help. And since us being us, we were completely freaked out on how to execute the idea that we had in mind. So we decided to ring him up. True to his words; we indeed got help from him.

This is the end result of our poster :)

The whole thing ended with one lesson learned. Never ignore anyone who gives you a suggestion. You never know, you might even end up meeting the least person you expect curled up in a tiny, teeny shop like this ;)
